Rao Birender Singh College of Education, Rewari is the premier and pioneering college of Education, established in 1953 in the erstwhile Punjab. It is situated on the outskirts of the historic town of Rewari, long known for its warriors and freedom fighters.

Rewari has also gained the stature of a centre of learning and global recognition in politics, mainly through the untiring efforts of the descendants of Rao Tula Ram, the legendary hero of the First War of Independence, who dared to challenge British power.

Ever since its inception, the college has been at the forefront of quality teacher education, producing over 30,000 trained teachers and 1,000 Teacher Educators under the farsighted vision and patronage of its Founder President, Hon’ble Rao Birender Singh, Ex-Chief Minister of Haryana and Former Union Minister, Government of India.

The institution is the first private Teacher Training College in the erstwhile Punjab, recognized by the NCTE and affiliated to Indira Gandhi University, Meerpur (Rewari), Haryana. The college continues to strive hard to achieve the goals set by the Management, Government, University, UGC, and NCTE.

Rao Birender Singh was a prominent political leader and former Chief Minister of Haryana who played a significant role in shaping the early political landscape of the state. Born on February 20, 1921, in Rewari district, he belonged to a respected Ahir family and was deeply influenced by the values of leadership and public service from a young age. In 1967, he became the second Chief Minister of Haryana and is remembered for forming the Vishal Haryana Party, reflecting his independent political vision.

Rao Birender Singh was known for his dedication, integrity, and commitment to public welfare. His leadership style focused on grassroots development and empowering rural communities through better infrastructure, education, and agricultural support. Even after his tenure as Chief Minister, he remained an influential figure in Haryana politics and continued serving the people in various capacities.
